If I've counted correctly, this is the 11th time I've had the pleasure of photographing this family. This time, we were at their cozy home, and only took portrait photos of the children. But how wonderful it is to see them grow and capture them beautifully again.

What more can I say than: beautiful family, beautiful weather, beautiful location and beautiful pictures!

Lihua is the mother of Kaixin, the piano talent I've photographed before. Lihua works for a maritime company, and what better location for this shoot than the harbour and the beach?

Today I had the privilege to photograph this family for the 6th time. And every time we take pictures and I see the end result I think: This is exactly what I mean by a lifestyle shoot :-) And each time I say afterwards: It was such fun :-)

Kaixin is a true piano talent. She began her piano career at the age of six, and at nine, she competed in the Haydn Competition in the Netherlands, where she won first prize and the audience award. During the coronavirus pandemic, Kaixin participated in several international online competitions and achieved remarkable success.

And suddenly he is 18, 1.96 m, in possession of his driver's license, a girlfriend and this year his final exams. But still my little guy whose humor always makes my day.

Today, for the 4th year in a row, I am doing a Christmas shoot with one of my favourite expat families. The setting is the same every year, but the photos are always different. And it is so nice to see the results and compare how Mateo has changed. How wonderful it would be to do this shoot until he is 18 ;-)

What a special shoot this was. The lady is 86 and still takes care of her husband completely independently. The gentleman is 95, has difficulty walking and is visually impaired, but still very present and clear of mind.
